Feature Friday - July 3: Enhanced Publishing Controls
Since our last release, we've been focused on giving admins more precise control over who can publish announcements and roadmap items — and making it easier to see who published what.
Publishing roles update
Until now, the Publisher role was all-or-nothing: give someone publishing access, and they could publish and update announcements and roadmap items.
We've made a few improvements.
Admins can now assign publishing permissions with greater precision. You'll find a new Publisher group in the role picker (Settings >> Users) with three options:
Full Publisher: publish both announcements and roadmap items
Announcements only: publish announcements but not roadmap items
Roadmap only: publish roadmap items but not announcements
Let teammates manage your public roadmap without also handing them the keys to your announcement channel, or vice versa.
Publisher attribution on announcement cards
Announcement cards just got a little more informative. In the management portal, you'll now see exactly who published each one, right at a glance — making it easier for teams to track who shipped what without digging into the audit log.
Thoughts? Feedback? Reactions?
