Introducing the New LaunchNotes Embed: Better Features, Easier Setup

We’re excited to unveil the new version of the LaunchNotes embed, designed to improve your users’ experience and simplify installation and maintenance. This update supports both popup and inline embeds, each with enhanced functionality and styling.

The new embed will be rolling out to customers over the next week and can be found under Settings → API, Embed & RSS → Embed. We’ll be announcing the rollout completion next week, after the Thanksgiving holiday. Look for the updated page to indicate that you have access today.

Enhanced user interface

The new embed includes:

1. A popup embed with a larger intuitive drawer layout, providing a more streamlined way for users to engage with your product updates.

2. An inline embed that now displays all content directly within the frame, eliminating the need for a separate modal. This makes it easier for users to view updates without interruptions.

Expanded content support

With the new embed, you can now showcase announcements, roadmap items, and ideas in one place. This expanded functionality ensures your audience has access to the latest updates without navigating away from their current workflow.

Easier installation

The installation process has been simplified to save your team time and effort. Setting up the new embed requires just a single script and a straightforward attribute, making it quick and easy to integrate into your website or app.

Streamlined styling and maintenance

The new embed automatically inherits styling from your LaunchNotes project settings, ensuring your branding remains consistent without any manual adjustments. Any updates made to your project settings will instantly reflect in the embed, reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Separate installation with continued support

The new version of the embed is a completely separate installation from the old version. If you’re satisfied with your current setup, you don’t need to make any changes—the previous embed will remain fully supported, and its installation instructions will continue to be available in the Help Center.

If you’d like to switch to the new embed, you’ll need to update your website or app by removing the old version and installing the new one. Full setup instructions for the new embed can be found linked from the embed settings page.
