Your in-app embed can now change what it shows depending on where someone is in your product. Plus, announcement cards got a refresh, and there's a round of fixes across MCP, the roadmap, and the editor.

      Dynamic content with in-app embed

The in-app embed can now show a different set of updates depending on which page it's on. Say someone's on your Billing page. The in-app embed can show them only your billing updates — announcements in the billing category — rather than everything you've shipped.

Add data-categories to that page's snippet and the panel narrows to those categories:

      <launchnotes-embed data-categories="billing">

      • The unread dot matches. Three unread on your Billing page means three billing updates.

      • Changing it doesn't need a reload. Swap the attribute when someone moves to another part of your app and the list and the dot follow.

      • A page can narrow your settings, never widen them. Categories you've hidden stay hidden.

If you're not yet set up with the in-app embed, try it in a few easy steps and get your announcements into your product.

      Announcement cards

Cards in your Announcements list now show more at a glance.

      • Category tags on every card. A colored dot and label, with a tooltip for the rest when there are more than three.

      • Published cards name the author and the channels. You can see where an announcement actually went out, and the stat now reads "Click rate."

      • Drafts show who edited last. Dates are shorter and long descriptions are trimmed, so more fits on screen.

      MCP improvements

      • Filter roadmap items by category. Ask what's on the roadmap for a category, or how many items sit in a stage, and your agent answers in one call.

      • Confirmations read properly. Publishing an announcement with no headline used to come back as "null" — it says "Untitled announcement" now.

      • Templates show their names in the audit log. Copies made through your agent used to log as "Unnamed Template."

      Roadmap

      • The Filters button shows a count. It reads "Filters (2)" when two are on, and clears when you do.

      • Older timelines are intact again. Past stage dates had been dropping off work items over time.

      Fixed and improved

      • Cohorts when adding or editing a subscriber. You could only set cohorts through a CSV upload; the Add and Edit Subscriber dialogs have the field now.

      • The announcement editor opens quickly on large projects. Projects with big subscriber lists could sit loading for close to a minute.

      • Command K puts recent work first. When results match equally well, the most recently edited ones come out on top.

      • Role labels are right. The pill under your name could show the wrong role, and the Org tab now lists your organization's users.

      • Invites to allowed domains send. Inviting someone whose email domain was already on the project's allowed list quietly sent nothing.

      • The feedback widget stopped reporting a false error. General feedback showed "Unable to create feedback" even when it saved fine.

      • Cleaner canonical tags. Query parameters no longer end up in the canonical URL on your public page homepage.
