Feature Friday - March 7: UX Enhancements Across LaunchNotes
We're excited to share several improvements to the LaunchNotes platform released over the past 2 weeks that enhance both user experience and administrative capabilities. These updates address key workflow improvements, subscriber management enhancements, and fixes to core platform functionality.
Enhanced Roadmap Management
Managing your product roadmap just got even better. We've addressed several issues that improve how roadmap items are displayed and managed across different views of your LaunchNotes pages.
Fixed ordering consistency so roadmap items always appear in the same order in your widget embeds as they do in the management portal
Improved drag-and-drop functionality for Firefox users, making it easier to reorder and reorganize your roadmap items
Refined Permissions & Workflow Controls
We've strengthened role-based permissions to give you more control over who can publish content on your LaunchNotes pages.
Restricted Digest creation and publishing to Admin and Publisher roles only
Added a "Request to Send" workflow for Contributors, allowing them to create Digests while requiring Admin or Publisher approval before sending
Improved User Experience
Several key enhancements make navigating and interacting with LaunchNotes even more intuitive.
Fixed anchor links in Table of Contents to properly position content below site headers on published pages
Improved "Request to Send" email formatting for contributors messaging publishers and admins
Fixed an error state where unsubscribed subscribers were displayed as 'confirmed'
Improved error messaging for imports, ensuring users receive clear feedback when file uploads encounter issues
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to making LaunchNotes the most effective platform for communicating your product updates to customers. As always, we welcome your feedback as you explore these improvements.
