General Availability: Roadmap Stage Change Notifications
We’ve successfully wrapped up the Early Access Program (EAP), and based on the feedback we’ve received from our EAP users, we're excited to roll out the Roadmap Stage Change Notifications feature to the entire LaunchNotes customer base.
Roadmap Stage Change Notifications allow you to set up and send email notifications whenever a roadmap item transitions from one stage to another to keep your team and customers in the loop about the changes occurring on your roadmap as your product development progresses. As part of the workflow, when you transition a roadmap item to a new stage a modal presents the option to notify the assigned team members and subscribers. The modal also provides you the option to get a preview of the notification in your inbox.
Additional functionality based on the EAP
Working with the EAP customers, we identified the need and built the capability to tailor the notification settings by stage: an admin can specify which stages will prompt to send email notifications when a change occurs, to help avoid unnecessary alerts and to streamline your product comms.
We also will provide a record of the notification in the Audit log in the management portal to ensure greater transparency and accountability with the historical tracking of events.
Getting started
You can find the setting to Roadmap Stage Change Notifications in the management portal under Settings >> Roadmap >> Subscriber Updates where you can enable/disable, and optionally select specific stages for sending notifications.
Your feedback, please
We're thrilled to move this feature from EAP to GA! Once you’ve had a chance to turn on and use Roadmap Stage Change Notifications, we’d love to hear how it’s working for you, and if there’s additional functionality you’d like us to consider. And of course, should you have any questions or trouble getting started, reach out and we’ll be happy to help.
