More Control, More Precision, and Smoother Workflows
Since our last release, the LaunchNotes team has been busy shipping a handful of enhancements that put you in even greater control of where, when, and how your updates land.
Digests Are Now Channel-Specific
The #1 thing people asked for after we launched per-announcement channel controls? The same power for digests.
Done.
You can now pick exactly where each digest is delivered—email only, Slack only, or both. Weekly roundups, monthly recaps, category-specific summaries… send them precisely where your audience already lives, without broadcasting everything into every channel.
Finer Slack Content Controls
Until now, everything sent to Slack was an excerpt + link. Great for keeping channels clean, but sometimes you want the full update to land right there. No extra click required.
Now you decide, every single time:
Classic excerpt + “Read more” (keeps Slack tidy)
Or the entire rich announcement delivered directly in-channel (perfect when the news deserves to be seen immediately)
Big launches, critical fixes, or anything you want your team to read without leaving Slack? Full post it is.
At-a-Glance Channel Visibility
Every announcement and digest now prominently displays exactly which channels received them, so you’ll never again be left guessing.
Editor and Content Improvements
But that’s not all. We've also made several behind-the-scenes updates that make content creation faster and more reliable:
Improved Link Editing: Updated the link modal in the editor to make editing and adding links easier
Better Image and URL Handling: Resolved several issues with image links and URLs across announcements and roadmap items
Platform Polish
Rounding out today's release, we shipped several platform enhancements:
In-app embed controls are finally where they belong: right under “Customize page” in the main nav
Audit log is now fully searchable and feels instantaneous
Clearer seat-availability messaging when you’re approaching your plan’s seat limit
Smarter, more predictable roadmap URL slug generation and editing
