MCP Improvements, Plus a Round of Embed Polish

Thank you to everyone who's jumped into the new MCP server, which went GA this week! This release has a few more improvements there, plus a round of work on Embed — the widget that brings your updates into your own app — so your customers see what's new right where they already are.

MCP improvements

Both of these came from your feedback, so thank you!

• Pagination and date filtering. List tools take a cursor and a date range now. Ask your agent how many announcements you published last quarter and it can go count them, instead of stopping at the first 100.

• Steadier connections. Some connections failed and then worked on retry. That was our key service timing out — your client gets a retry signal now instead of "invalid token." And if your workspace account isn't linked to a LaunchNotes user, you're told that directly instead of getting a half-working tool list.

Embed Widget

A few improvements to the widget experience, so your product announcements appear even smoother in your app. (By the way, if you're not using the embedded widget, reach out and let's get you set up! It's a simple and powerful way to put your product updates right inside your product where your users are.)

• Scrolling. Scrolling to the bottom of the list no longer scrolls the page behind it.

• Unread dot. Smaller, without the number, thanks to your feedback. Also fixed: Would sometimes not show consistently with new announcements.

• Footer. Now reads "{Your project} page" on the left and "Powered by LaunchNotes" on the right. Nicer fit, easier to read.

• No wasm-unsafe-eval in your CSP. The loading spinner is plain CSS now, so the embed no longer compiles WebAssembly on your page.

Unique visitors on your dashboard

The Page views card now leads with unique visitors and shows total requests beside it. Total requests includes bots and crawlers, which is why it's usually much higher. Your existing number is still there, now labeled Total requests.
